Binary ports
Audio/IO/Relay board can have four or eight binary ports. Each port can be used in mode Output
(switch), Input (detector) or in bidirectional mode (switch and detector). Function of each port
depends also on hardware setting of jumpers. Individual useable modes are described in hardware
manual in the chapter 2.14 Audio/IO/Relay board.
Binary ports can't be used as other virtual ports of the PbX. You have to assign them to concrete
routing object Binary I/O. Each binary virtual port can be assigned to more routing objects Binary
I/O.
Routing object Binary I/O
Routing object Binary I/O can be set as switch or detector. Following parameters are common to both
modes.
Name It displays only name of selected object. It can't be directly configurated in this part.
Binary I/O It assigns concrete source of Audio/IO/Relay board to selected object.
Direction It defines if selected routing object controls switch or detector of binary port.
Setting up of Switch
Switch status This parameter displays actual state of relay (active, deactive, unknown). If you see
here Unknown, then is assigned binary port probably configured as Input or is this port or whole
board out of order.
Tone It sets announcement played to the calling user in the case of incoming call to this routing
object.
Action at pick up This section defines actions done after pick up of incoming call in this routing
object.
None Relay doesn't react to pick up.
Connect Relay is activated if it wasn't.
Disconnect Relay is deactivated if it wasn't.
Connect pulse Relay is activated for time defined within parameter Pulse width [ms] and then
again deactivated. If it was already activated, then it is only deactivated at the end of the pulse.
Disconnect pulse Relay is deactivated for time defined within parameter Pulse width [ms] and
then again activated. If it was already deactivated, then it is only activated at the end of the pulse.
Action at hang up This section defines actions done after hang up of active call in this routing
object.
None Relay doesn't react to hang up.
Action after timeout/tone This section defines actions done after Timeout expiration or after
playing whole tone.
