Layer 1 Status General Meaning
DEACTIVATED No Layer 1 connection has been established
ACTIVE A Layer 1 connection is up and running
GOING DOWN
Normally a transient state. If it persists, try a
clear interface BRI number command. If it
still persists, check cabling, then reload the
router and the simulator
