3. Fill the “Default routes” field with only one route, the gateway of the public IP of M2M GW
or the gateway to your border router in DMZ case. Usually you will receive the value for
this parameter from the ISP or from IT department. Check that the interface defined is
eth0, because this is by default the WAN port of M2M GW and M2M GW’s firewall is pre-
configured respectively.
Note: Check that the “Act as router” is set to “Yes”. This is important, because otherwise
the M2M GW is not able to route between interfaces eth0, eth1 and VPN tunnels.
At this point, there is usually no need to add any static/local routes.

1. In the “Network Configuration” screen, click the “Hostname and DNS Client” icon.
