Vinyl Doctor Maintenance Kit Instructions:
This Maintenance Kit contains the products necessary to maintain your window frames. A yearly maintenance
routine of cleaning, polishing and repairing minor damage extends the lifespan of vinyl windows.
“Caring for Your Windows, Doors and Skylights” - an AAMA publication - states:
“The lifespan and performance depend upon many factors including ... Proper care and maintenance.”
1. Clean vinyl window frame with VinylDoc’s PVC cleaner (vinyl only, do not use on glass).
2. Restore the shine on the window frame with VinylDoc’s PVC polish.
3. Clean off PVC polish with PVC cleaner.
4. When dry, fill small cracks or gouges with Liquid PVC.
(Not recommended at termperatures below 45 F. or when wet.)
5. When hard, sand the filled areas with the 3-grit sanding board using heaviest grit first.
6. Continue using the finer grits until window frame is smooth and has no scratches.
7. Once smooth, polish sanded area to a sheen with PVC polish.
8. Lastly, clean off PVC polish with PVC cleaner.
