Battery replacement
The battery illuminates the level bubble (11) when the switch (13) is pressed. The level bubble
remains lit for approximately 15 seconds, or until the switch (13) is pressed a second time.
The battery should be replaced yearly or when the switch (13) illuminates red to warn of a low bat-
tery level.
To replace the battery (Fig 7):
Apply the pan brake (15) and remove the illumination module (12) by pressing the retaining
tabs (12.1) together from the underside of the head. The illumination module will then lift
out of the head.
Push the battery (12.2) out of the illumination module from behind using a suitable pointer
(pen).
Push the replacement battery into the illumination module, observing the correct polarity.
Refit the illumination module (12) into the head. Push downward until in ‘snaps’ into place.
Press the switch (13) and ensure that the level bubble (11) is lit for approximately 15 sec-
onds.
