Figure 1: VINCI Tab Front View Figure 2: VINCI Tab Rear View VINCI Tab Buttons POWER Button Use this button to turn your VINCI Tab on and off, reset and lock screen (sleep mode). • This button also resets your VINCI Tab when a forced close is required. Press and hold button for 5 seconds until your VINCI Tab shuts off. • The power button also puts the touch-screen into sleep mode. In sleep mode, the VINCI Tab operating system is still running, but the screen is locked.
Volume Button Use this button to adjust the volume on your VINCI Tab. Increase volume 1. Press the plus sign until desired volume is reached. Decrease volume 1. Press the minus sign until desired volume is reached. HOME Button RETURN Button Press this button to return to the HOME screen. Press this button to go back to the previous screen.
VINCI Tab Home Screen The Home screen displays icons for the different application folders as well as a few indicator icons. The Home screen is the main launch point for the different applications on your VINCI Tab. VINCI Games VINCI Story Books Explore interactive games filled with fun, engaging learning activities and surprises. Read or follow along to animated and interactive stories.
User Profile In the top left corner of the Home screen, you will see “Hello,!”. This welcome message indicates which user is the current, active user of the VINCI Tab. The message will simply say “Hello” until a User Profile has been created. User profiles can be added, edited or deleted by pressing the Menu button from the home screen, then selecting the Manage Profiles option. Once a User Profile has been created, the “Hello” message will include the first name associated with the profile.

VINCI Tab On, Off, Screen Lock & Reset Turning on your VINCI Tab 1. Press and hold the POWER button until screen illuminates. The system will begin to boot. 2. Slide the Lock icon up. Tap Power off. 3. The Power off dialogue box will appear. 4. Tap OK. Locking the Screen (Sleep mode) 1.
VINCI Tab Touch Screen VINCI Tab uses a capacitive screen meaning the screen can sense contact and gestures using the electrical properties of the human body. This allows for light touches and motions of the finger to navigate easily through the VINCI Tab. Proper functioning of the screen requires a clean contact surface between the human body and the screen to activate the sensor.
VINCI Tab Media Applications Using the camera VINCI Tab is equipped with a 3 megapixel rear-facing camera capable of taking photos and recording videos. The photos and videos you or your child record are saved automatically to a corresponding gallery inside the Media folder. You can use the native AndroidTM Camera or VINCI Camera. The difference is VINCI Camera let you take pictures by simply touching anywhere on the screen.
Play Music 1. Tap the Media folder on the home screen. 2. Tap the Music icon to access and play music AndroidTM has also a Music app that allows you to add and play music titles. Using the VINCI Tab Keyboard To input text information on the VINCI Tab, you will need to use the on-screen keyboard. In most cases, the keyboard will automatically appear on screen when the VINCI Tab is ready to receive typed information. Tapping once on an open text entry field will automatically display the keyboard.
ANDROIDTM Functions and Features Your VINCI Tab comes with many additional AndroidTM functions (version 2.3.3). To access the AndroidTM functions, from VINCI home screen, you can press the Menu button, and choose either Settings or Open Applications List. AndroidTM Settings Note: All WI-FI and wireless settings are not supported by VINCI Tab hardware.
Display Settings: Allows you to choose, select or adjust the following options related to VINCI Tab display: • • • • • Brightness Auto-rotate screen (not used by VINCI Apps) Animation Screen timeout. Default setting is 30 minutes. We recommend you keep the default setting.
Privacy Settings: Allows you to set or modify the following options related to privacy: • Back up & restore • Back up my data (back up application data, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings to Google servers) • Automatic restore (If I reinstall an application, restore backed up settings or other data) – DISABLED • Personal data • Factory data reset (erases all data on device) Storage: Allows you to manage your SD card and to monitor the following information as it relates to VINCI Tab: • Storag

VINCI Tab does not have the capability to connect to the Internet through WI-FI or 3G networks. As a result, you will need to install the VINCI Tab Manager desktop software on to a home or office computer with Internet access. Installing the VINCI Tab Manager software will allow you to: • • • • Automatically check for updates. Backup photos and videos from VINCI Tab to your computer. Add media files, such as your child’s favorite songs, to your VINCI Tab.
Download Tab Management Software 1. Log on to the Internet. 2. Go to: www.VINCIGenius.com 3. Click on the SUPPORT tab. 4. On the Support page, click on Download VINCI Tab Manager. 5. Choose the appropriate version of the software to match the operating system on your computer – Windows for PC, or Mac OS for Apple 6. Follow the onscreen prompts. 7. Once the drivers and software are installed, use the included USB cable to connect your VINCI Tab to your computer to finish the installation.
Driver Installation VINCI Tab Manager software includes USB drivers for Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. Plug your VINCI Tab to your PC before opening VINCI Tab Manager. Windows should automatically install a driver for a Google device. If after you connecting your tab to your computer there is a message saying Device not recognized, there may be a conflict between a previously installed AndroidTM device driver and the VINCI Tab driver.

Click on the box next to the type of media you would like to transfer to your computer and from your computer. If you would like to transfer all media at the same time, click the Sync all box. 3. Click the Save button.
Changing Media File Location By default, media files are sent to the corresponding Album folder in the VINCI Tab Manager Install Directory. You may wish to change the location where media files are sent. To change the location: 1. With the Tab Manager open on your computer desktop, click on the Preferences link. 2. Click the Browse button beside the media type you would like to relocate and select a new folder. 3. Click Save to close the file location dialog. 4.
Adding & Removing Applications Use the VINCI Tab Manager to manage applications on your VINCI Tab. Add applications Additional VINCI Tab applications are available on-line at www.VINCIGenius.com/store. Follow the steps outlined on the store to purchase and download new VINCI applications. If you have purchased and downloaded a VINCI application from the VINCI Store on to your computer, use the VINCI Tab Manager to install the applications on your VINCI Tab by following the steps below: 1.
Note: You can also right-click on the application and select Delete selected. Then click Yes to delete the application. Checking For Application Updates When you launch the VINCI Tab Manager software on your computer, the Tab Manager will automatically check for updates. With the VINCI Tab connected, updates will be automatically transferred to the VINCI Tab, updating your VINCI Tab applications to the most current versions.

Managing Applications on VINCI Tab Creating new folders: You can create a new folder within an existing folder or on the home screen to help manage your applications. 1. From the home screen, press the Menu button. 2. Select the new folder option. 3. Name the folder. 4. Click OK 5. The folder should appear on the current screen Moving application locations: You can rearrange the location of your applications by moving them into existing folders or folders that you have created on VINCI Tab home screen.

VINCI Tab Applications The touch-screen responds slowly or is unresponsive • Remove the protective cover from the touch screen. • Ensure fingers are clean and nails are short. • Restart the device. • Check for updates using the VINCI Tab Manager. • Check for damage to your touch screen – if damage is detected, contact the Customer Care center for replacement under warranty.
The application resumes when I reopen after exiting, but I want to start from the beginning • You can close an application completely by performing a force to close procedure. Go the home screen, and press the Menu button. Tap Settings, then choose Applications. Tap the application you wish to exit completely, then tap Force to Close.
