Configuring and using pop-up alerts
The pop-up alerts window displays information about events that have occurred on your
computer. You can configure which events and which severity levels trigger the pop-up alerts
window to open. See
Using alerts for more information.
Notifications are cleared from the pop-up alerts window each time you log out or the computer
shuts down. However, notifications are not deleted from the
notification log when the computer
boots.
Note—If you're running Windows
* XP with Fast User Switching enabled:
• The pop-up alerts window appears for the current user who is logged on to the computer.
Other users will see a flashing Intel Server Manager icon in the taskbar as described in
Using the taskbar icon. These users can display the pop-up alerts window by clicking the
Intel Server Manager icon.
• If multiple users are logged on and the current user dismisses the pop-up alerts window,
other users will still see the notification when they switch back.
