MANAGING SYSTEM INVENTORY
2. Click the tab of the status type (OK, Warning, Critical, or Informational) you want to set
alerts for.
3. Click the types of alerts you want to send and click Apply.
4. To set general options for an alert type, click Set preferences. This link opens the
Alerts
preferences
page.
To set virtual memory thresholds
1. Click System, then click Memory.
2. Open Set thresholds: Virtual memory.
3. Drag the colored arrows to adjust the Warning and Critical thresholds.
or
Type percentage numbers directly in the Warning threshold and Critical threshold
boxes.
4. Click Apply to change the thresholds.
Notes
Used and free space are not updated dynamically. You can refresh them by clicking
Apply or Refresh.
You must have Macromedia* Flash installed to view the thresholds bar. You can
download the Flash player at
www.macromedia.com.
Modems
Use Modems to view the names and types of modems on the system, and the ports they use.
You can receive alerts when modems are added or removed from a computer. You can also
enable Modem view when you want to monitor modem activity on a computer and receive alerts
when modem activity is detected.
To view modem information
Click System, then click Modems.
To detect modem activity on a computer
1. Click Modem view.
2. Check Enable modem view.
3. Click Apply.
To set alert actions for modems
1. Click Configure alert actions for the type of alert you want to configure.
2. Click the types of alerts you want to send and click Apply.
3. To set general options for an alert type, click Set preferences. This link opens the
