Restarting SNMP Agents
If the SNMP subagent or master locks up, you must restart both agents. Use the following steps
from the command line to restart the agents, depending on your operating system. For information
on setting services or daemons to start at system boot, see your operating system documentation.
Linux
1. Stop the subagent by entering the following command:
/etc/init.d/snmpsa stop
2. Restart the master agent by entering the following command:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/snmpd restart
3. Start the subagent by entering the following command:
/etc/init.d/snmpsa start
Windows
In Windows, choose Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services, then stop and
restart the SNMP Service.
