Replacing the lamp
Turnthepowero󰀨anddisconnecttheprojectorfromthepoweroutlet.
• Toreducetheriskofelectricalshock,alwaysturntheprojectoro󰀨anddisconnectthepowercord
beforechangingthelamp.
• Toreducetheriskofsevereburns,allowtheprojectortocoolforatleast45minutes before
replacingthelamp.
• Toreducetheriskofinjuriestongersanddamagetointernalcomponents,usecautionwhen
removinglampglassthathasshatteredintosharppieces.Beforereplacingthelamp,cleanthe
lampcompartmentanddisposeofcleaningmaterials.Becarefulofsharpedgesinthelamp
compartment.Washhandsafterlampreplacement.
• OnlyViewSoniccertiedlampsaretestedwiththisprojector.Useofotherlampsmaycause
electricalshockandre.
• Wearworkingglovesduringlampreplacement.
• Unplugprojectorpoweratleast10minutesbeforereplacingthelamp.
1. Turnthepowero󰀨anddisconnecttheprojectorfromthewallsocket.Ifthelampishot,avoidburns
bywaitingforapproximately45minutesuntilthelamphascooled.
2. Loosenthescrewthenremovethecoverandmylarfrom
theprojector.
CAUTION
• Do not turn the power on with the lamp cover
removed.
• Donotinsertyourngersbetweenthelampandthe
projector.Thesharpedgesinsidetheprojectormay
causeinjuries.
3. Loosenthescrewformthelampmodule.
4. Liftthemodulehandleup.
5. Usethehandletoslowlypullthelampoutoftheprojector.
CAUTION
• Pullingittooquicklymaycausethelamptobreakand
scatterbrokenglassintheprojector.
• Do not place the lamp in locations where water might
splashonit,childrencanreachit,ornearammable
materials.
• Donotinsertyourhandsintotheprojectorafterthelamp
isremoved.Ifyoutouchtheopticalcomponentsinside,
itcouldcausecolorunevennessanddistortionofthe
projectedimages.
