The Vitocell 100-VH/BH series tank is the
economical choice for reliable and effi cient
domestic hot water (DHW) production. With
single- and dual-coil tanks available in two
sizes (79 and 120 USG / 300 and 450 ltr.), the
Vitocell 100-VH/BH tank is ideal for a variety of
applications.
Quality construction, effi cient design
Quality glass-enameled steel construction and
anode protection ensure the Vitocell 100-VH/
BH delivers operational reliability and a long
service life.
An abundant supply of hot water is provided
by the large heat exchanger that reaches down
to the cylinder fl oor. This economical design
makes use of the full tank capacity by ensuring
the entire water content is evenly heated. Plus,
it ensures fast recovery rates, providing hot
water all day long.
Two inches of CFC-free foamed-in-place
insulation and a fi tted nylon insulation jacket
reduces standby losses to a minimum while
keeping your DHW supply hot.
Hygienic and safe
The internal surface quality of a DHW storage
tank is crucial to providing a hygienic water
supply. For this reason, the Vitocell 100-VH/
BH tank is constructed with a glass-enameled
coating for safe, lasting protection against
corrosion.
In addition, each tank is available with a standard
electronic or 1¼” consumable magnesium
anode, which provides additional active
corrosion protection. In areas with poor water
quality, the electrical anode is recommended
as it provides continual, long-term protection.
Plus, because it never requires replacement,
the electric anode eliminates maintenance.
Heating with solar
The Vitocell 100-BH dual-coil solar tank allows
both an integrated solar system and heating
boiler to contribute to hot water production.
Solar heat is transferred using the lower coil,
while back-up heat is supplied by the boiler, as
required, via the upper coil (see illustration).
The optional electric heating element provides
even greater DHW fl exibility. Eliminate boiler
run-time in the summer, or use the electric
heating element as your permanent auxiliary
heat source when solar heat is not enough.
