1.2. Control
The R-series DVRs have various methods of control. A single method or a mixture of methods can be
employed according to personal preference:
• Control by keys in standard mode - arrow keys step from field to field in the menus.
• Control by external mouse – a mouse moves pointer smoothly around the screen. The left
button selects items on the screen and right button brings up a menu when in live mode.
• Control by mouse emulator – the Up/Down/Left/Right keys perform the functions of a mouse,
moving the pointer smoothly around the screen. SEL is the left button. Press the 0 button and
hold for 1 second to simulate a right button click. The ESC key takes you back a menu level.
