Built-in Visual Fault Locator (VFL) Function
VFL connector
The VFL interface is fitted with universal 2.5mm sleeve accepting all 2.5 mm connector
ferrules (FC, SC, ST, DIN, E2000, etc.)
Using the built-in VFL
A visual fault locator (VFL) is an essential tool that quickly and easily locates problems
such as sharp bends, breaks, and damages in fiber with a visible red laser light.
It can also be used to conduct end-to-end continuity tests and to perform fiber tracing
and identification. The maximum working distance of a VFL is 5 km.

In some cases, the pulsed mode (blinking light) makes it easier to identify
faults than continuous light.
