Ensurethepower outletis properly groundedinaccordance with all local codes and
ordinances. The plug and outlet should look like those in Fig.A. Consult with a qualified
electrician or service personif groundinginstructions arenotunderstood or ifthereisdoubt
asto whether theequipment is properly grounded.
Do not modify the powercord plug provided with the tool. Neverremovethe
grounding prong from the plug. If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
Do not use the tool ifthe power cord or plug is damaged. Ifdamaged,haveit
repaired by a service facility before use.
Outlet must match the plug. Donotuseanykindofadapterwithanearthed (grounded)
plug.Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Avoidbody contactwithearthedorgroundedsurfacessuch aspipes,radiators,
rangesandrefrigerators. Thereisanincreasedriskofelectric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
Do not exposethis product to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the product will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Ifanextension cord is needed, use a 12AWG (2.5mm')minimum to supplythe
correctamount of current for the tool. Anundersizedcord willresult in voltage drop
which willcause lossof powerand overheating.
Useonly a3-wireextension cord with a groundingplugthathasa properly
groundedreceptaclethatwillaccept theplug on this tool.
Follow localcodeswhen choosinga solvent pail for flushing. Useonly conductive
metal pails placed on a grounded surface such as concrete. Do not place the pail on a
nonconductive surface such as paper or cardboard. Connect a ground wire between
