Fuel filter removal
The fuel filter is to be replaced as a unit.
• Close the fuel stopcock.
• Remove the fuel filter, use a filter wrench.
Catch any fuel.
Keep naked flames away when
working on the fuel system. Do
not smoke!
Fuel filter installation
• Clean any debris from the filter carrier
rim.
• Lubricate the rubber gasket sparingly
with clean engine oil.
• Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel.
• Install the filter. When the rubber gasket
touches the housing, apply another
tightening of a half to three quarters of
a turn by hand.
• Open fuel stopcock.
• Check for leaks.
