Enable stereo widening
To enable the stereo widening feature:
1. From the stand-by menu, press Menu » Additions » Stereo
widening
.
2. Scroll to On. Press Select
A message confirms stereo widening selection.
Applications
In this menu you can manage applications and games. Preinstalled
applications are stored in phone memory, but in order to optimise
storage space you should store downloaded applications on the
Media memory.
The Travel application, Worldmate®, is also on this menu. For more
information please see “Travel” on page 10.
Media memory
To access media memory options:
1. From the stand-by menu, press Menu » Additions »
Applications » Media.
2. Select Options and choose one of the following:
Downloads to view the Game downloads or Application
downloads stored in Media memory
Rename media mem. to rename the Media memory
Format media mem. to format the Media memory
Details to view details current used and available memory capacity
Games and Applications
Your Vertu phone may include one or more games and applications.
To launch a game:
1. From the stand-by menu, press Menu » Additions »
Applications.
2. Scroll to the desired game, and press Open.
To set sounds, lights and shakes for the game:
1. From the stand-by menu, press Menu » Additions »
Applications.
2. Press Options and Application settings.
3. Choose from one of the following:
Application tones to set game sounds
Application lights for game lights settings
Application vibration for game vibration settings
Version details for game version details.
Update version to check if a new version of the application is
available for download from Web (network service)
Web page to provide further information or additional data for the
application from an Internet page (network service), if available
Application access to restrict the application from accessing
the network.
To download an application:
Your phone supports J2ME Java applications. Make sure that the
application is compatible with your phone before downloading it.
You can download new Java applications and games in the
following ways.
1. Use the Vertu Application Installer from Vertu PC Suite to download
the applications to your phone,
Or use the Web browser on your Vertu phone. From the stand-by menu,
press
Menu » Additions » Applications » Options»
Downloads » App. downloads. The list of available bookmarks is
shown.
Web
You can access various Web services on your Vertu phone.
Check the availability of these services, pricing, tariffs, and
instructions with your service provider.
Automatically setting up Web browsing
Depending on which service provider you use, your Vertu phone
might already have Web settings installed so you might be able to
browse the Web straight away. If you cannot connect to the Web,
please contact Vertu Concierge or visit www.vertu.com and
download your settings.
Manually setting up Web browsing
First, ensure that the correct configuration settings of the service
that you want to use are activated.
To select the settings for connecting to the service:
1. From the stand-by display, press Menu » Additions » Web »
Settings » Configuration sett.
Only the configurations that support the browsing service are shown.
Select a service provider, Default, or Personal configuration for
browsing. See “Configuration” on page 47.
2. Scroll to Account and highlight a browsing service account
contained in the active configuration settings and then press
Select.
3. Scroll to Displ. term. window, highlight Yes and then press
Select to perform manual user authentication for Internet
connections.
Home
To make a connection to the homepage of your service provider,
either press and hold the 0 key or:
From the stand-by display, press Menu » Additions » Web »
Home.
To connect to a bookmarked service:
Only install and use applications and other software from
sources that offer adequate security and protection
against harmful software.
For the availability of different services, pricing, and tariffs,
contact your service provider.
Your device may have some bookmarks loaded for sites not
affiliated with Vertu. Vertu does not warrant or endorse these
sites. If you choose to access them, you should take the same
precautions, for security or content, as you would with any
Internet site.
Important: Use only services that you trust and that offer
adequate security and protection against harmful software.
