8 ADDITIONS
Your Vertu phone has multimedia features allowing you to capture
images and record video. You can also create new media files using
the voice recorder. Playback sound quality can be adjusted using
the media equaliser and stereo widening.
Your Vertu phone incorporates a 3 Megapixel camera with
autofocus and integral LED flash.
There is a powerful 8x digital zoom which together with the 16
million colour QVGA screen produces crisp, high quality images.
You can take photos and record video clips with the camera, send
them by message to your friends, or save them in the Gallery, from
where they can be transferred to your computer.
With the music player you can view, play, and download files, such
as images, audio, video, and animated images. You can also view
compatible streaming videos from a network server (network
service).
Your Vertu phone includes a music player for listening to music
tracks, recordings or other MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+ or Windows
Media.
Camera
The camera produces pictures in .jpg format and you can shoot still
images or video images using the camera application.
Take a photo
To take a photo using your Vertu phone:
1. Select Menu » Additions » Camera or press the CAMERA
button.
2. To zoom in and out in camera mode, use the JOYSTICK up or down.
3. To autofocus, press and hold the CAMERA button and a white frame
appears on the display. When the white frame turns green the object
is in focus.
4. To take an image, release the CAMERA button or use the
JOYSTICK to select Capture. The phone saves the images on
the media memory.
5. Once you have captured an image, press Options and choose
from one of the following:
Delete to delete current image
New image to take new picture
Send to send to contact
Attach to contact to attach image to contact details
Rename to rename image from default name
Open Gallery to open gallery feature
Use image to set image as wallpaper, attach as contact image,
create new contact and attach, set as group image
Zoom to enlarge an image. Scroll up, down, left and right to move
around the image
Set contrast. Scroll left and right to adjust the image contrast
settings
Print to print image to attached compatible printer
Details to view image details
You can see the number of images remaining in the top-right hand
corner of the viewfinder. The number of images remaining depends
on the chosen resolution and quality settings. Higher resolution and
quality settings result in larger file sizes and fewer images. File sizes
may also vary due to the image compression process.
Video
You can record video clips in .3gp format. Available recording time
depends on the video clip length and quality settings.
The length and file size of the clips may vary depending on the
selected quality and available memory.
Record a video clip
To record a video clip:
1. From the stand-by display, press Menu » Additions » Video »
Record. You can also press and hold the CAMERA button.
2. To pause the recording, select Pause to resume the recording,
select
Continue.
3. To stop the recording, select Stop. The phone saves the recording
in the
Media » Video clips folders.
4. To zoom in or out - scroll up and down.
5. Press Options and choose from one of the following:
Delete to delete current image
New video clip to start a new recording
Send to send video clip to contact
Rename to rename video clip from default name
Open Galleryto open gallery feature
Use video clip to set as incoming call video or set as contact
video
View full screen to view video clip without frames or toolbars.
Press Back to view video clip within frame
Mute audio to view the video clip without recorded sound
Details to view image details
Camera and video options
To change the camera settings:
1. From the stand-by menu, select Menu » Additions » Camera or
Menu » Additions » Video.
2. Press Options and select from the following options:
Night mode on to capture best images possible in dark settings
Flash to turn flash on and off, or to set to automatic Self-timer
on
to set the camera to capture an image automatically after a preset
number of seconds
Image sequence on to capture a sequence of pictures in one
go
Warning! When checking the flash, make sure to hold the
phone facing away and pointing down.
