The following diagram shows a simplified outbound call flow:
North American Numbering Plan
Wave collects digits using the North American Numbering Plan by default when processing
calls using automatic route selection. The North American Numbering Plan requires phone
numbers to have 10 digits and identifies them using the following numbering scheme:
• A three-digit area code
• A three-digit local exchange (or central office code)
• A four-digit subscriber number
