OPERATION / SETUP
To register a station name:
1. Press [TRANS/PGM], then 74.
2. Enter the Name (up to 12 characters - using the Character Entry Chart shown on
page D-50).
3. Press [HOLD/SAVE] to store the name.
To access Dial-by-Name:
1. Press [SPEED] twice.
2. Press one of the following.
1 = Intercom
2 = Station Speed Dial
3 = System Speed Dial
A confirmation tone sounds and the names stored in the speed bin are displayed in
alphabetical order.
Hint: Use the procedures shown below to scroll through the list of displayed names.
To scroll through the names stored in the speed dial bin
(available for digital phones with displays only):
Once the names appear on the display (see previous procedure for accessing the
Dial-by-Name feature):
1. Use the up and down navigation buttons to locate the appropriate name.
Hint: You can also use the keypad to enter a letter/character to display any names
associated with that letter/character, then -
If two names are displayed:
- the cursor points to the first name in the LCD.
- you can enter the next character/letter of the name of the person you want to
dial to narrow down the selection(s).
NOTE: To delete the last letter of input, press [CALLBK].
2. When the appropriate name is displayed, use the up and down navigation buttons
move the cursor to the name of the person you want to dial.
3. Press [HOLD/SAVE] to make a call.
