Intercom Signal Mode (HF/TN/PV)
Users can control the method by which they receive intercom calls and signals. Stations
equipped with a speaker mode can select one of the available three signaling modes:
• HF (Hands-Free Mode) - When the user hears three bursts of tone, and an
announcement. they can reply handsfree (using the mic and speaker) or lift the handset.
The calling party can then hear any conversation in progress at the called station.
• Tone Mode (default) - When the user hears repeated bursts of intercom ring tone, and
the HOLD button slow flashes, they can lift the handset or press [SPEAKER] to answer a
call.
• Private - You will hear three bursts of tone and a one-way announcement. The calling
party cannot hear any conversation in progress until you lift the handset or press [MUTE]
to accept the call.
CONDITIONS
• In Message Wait/ICM Queuing/Call Transfer/ Attendant Override, the ring is received as a
tone (TN) mode regardless of the assigned Intercom Signal mode.
• The Intercom Signal Mode will not affect the voice announcements from internal or all-call
paging.
