Call Handling 1-50
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
Do Not Disturb (DND) Forward to Voice Mail
This feature modifies the operation of calls presented to a station in the DND condition (see
1-47) by allowing calls coming into a station with DND enable to be forwarded to voice mail.
CONDITIONS
When the DND forward destination is enabled, a greeting must be recorded. Otherwise,
the system will not forward calls to the associated voice mailbox. Calls forwarded to a
voice mailbox with no greeting recorded will be forwarded to the Attendant.
When DND forward is enabled, incoming CO calls should not be dropped.
The default forward setting is "enabled".
Also see "Do Not Disturb (One Time DND)" on page 1-48, and "Do Not Disturb (DND) with
Pre-Selected Message" on page 1-49.
ADMIN PROGRAMMING
Enable/Disable DND Forward to Voice Mail
OPERATION / SETUP
When an internal or external call is presented to a station in DND, the system will check
the pre-programmed destination (see ADMIN PROGRAMMING), then send the call to that
destination.
Do Not Disturb (One Time DND)
This feature allows a station user to turn off muted ringing that can occur when the user is
on a call (either external or internal). During the call, the user can temporarily activate the
DND mode, preventing any chance of muted ringing. When the user ends the call (by
hanging up or pressing [SPEAKER], the DND setting is deactivated.
CONDITIONS
When the call ends and the station becomes idle, the DND setting is deactivated.
Also see "Do Not Disturb (DND) Forward to Voice Mail" on page 1-48, and "Do Not Disturb
(DND) with Pre-Selected Message" on page 1-49.
DND Forward to Voice Mail -- when an internal or external
call is presented to a station in DND, the system will check
a programmable parameter and then send the call to the
appropriate destination.
