Automatic Privacy
By default, all conversations (on CO lines, the intercom, and conferences) are protected by
privacy (Automatic privacy). This prevents one station from accessing a line to listen in on a
conversation. However, this feature can be disabled by the station user as needed (via the HTP
feature). To allow a user to have the ability to enable or disable Automatic Privacy, the System
Attendant must make such a configuration in the system.
CONDITIONS
If Automatic Privacy is enabled, a busy tone is heard when an attempt is made to access a
busy CO line.
If Automatic Privacy is disabled, intruding station is connected to conversation in progress.
When Automatic Privacy is disabled, privacy is still active for Intercom & Conference calls.
A station can only override a privacy-disabled station.
The station with Privacy disabled will hear an "intrustion" tone when another station
accesses the line.
Auto Fax Transfer CO -- if an Auto FAX CO line is
programmed, the system answers and detects the FAX
calling tone (1100Hz, 0.5sec ON/3sec OFF repeat tone)
from an incoming analog CO line. The system will route
this call to the last SLT port on basic MBU when tone is
detected within the programmed time.
