Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
Enable CO Dial Tone Detect
Walking Class of Service (Walking COS)
This feature allows temporary override of the toll restriction to allow toll call from previously toll
restricted phones. The authorization code can be used as a verified account code for SMDR.
CONDITIONS
• This feature can be used on both digital and SLT phones.
• This feature is available on a per-use basis only. The original programmed station COS
will be used when activating Walking COS, disconnecting a call, or pressing
[TRANS/PGM] to hold the call (and seize another line).
• When a wrong number is dialed, press [FLASH] to dial again without having to access
another idle CO line.
• The fee for a call with Walking COS will be charged according to the station authorization
code, not the actual station.
• When a user tries to use Walking COS at a station set to COS 7 (with temporary COS),
the call will follow the original COS of the station.
