General Information about Voice Mail
When a voice mail message is waiting, the Message Waiting Indication continues and the
Callback Button light continues to flash.
The Message Waiting Indication can be extinguished by saving or deleting any messages
in the VMIB.
To Save a Message, press Next during the message (24-button phone) and Hold
(8-button phone).
You can access a VMB remotely (either outside or inside) from the greeting of any VMB by
pressing the * key and entering the password for that VMB. From outside the system, you
must dial a Station that is forwarded to a VMB. Internally you may dial a Station that is
forwarded to a VMB or press the Callback Button on any Station showing a MWI.
NOTE: To access VM via the Callback Button, there must currently be messages waiting.
To access voice mail from an SLT, go off hook and dial 557.
NOTE: The 557 code only works on SLTs.
