Appendix C: Voicemail Service
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
• If the station has several voice mail messages waiting to be retrieved, the first message to
be played is the message with an associated station number. The priority of message
retrieval is: Message wait with station number, then VMIB Message wait, then CLI
Message wait, then VM group Message wait.
• When calling another station, if a station user presses [CALLBK] before the user greeting
is played a message wait with only station number is saved at the called station - see
"Message Wait and Call Back" on page 1-66.
• If all the VMIB ports are busy, a ring-back tone sounds instead of the user greeting, and
the VMIB Station Forward Timer is re-started.
• Individual user greetings and VMIB Message Waits are not affected by system reset or
power failure.
• While retrieving messages, the user can rewind messages as per the setting of the
Rewind Message Timer - - see ADMIN PROGRAMMING.
