Record User VM Greetings
If access to the VMIB is enabled, a station user can record a user greeting that will be played
to callers that reach the user’s voice mailbox. The user can also forward calls to the VMIB port.
CONDITIONS
There is no time limit for recording a user greeting at a station. However -
- When a caller leaves a voice message, the recording time is controlled by the Valid
User Message Timer (preventing messages from being too short) and the VMIB User
Record Timer (preventing messages from being too long) - see ADMIN
PROGRAMMING.
- When the caller’s recorded message is shorter than the Valid User Message time, the
message is not saved. Conversely, if the User Record Timer expires, a confirmation
tone is heard, and only the portion of the message recorded prior to the tone is saved.
