Announcements C-6
Appendix C: Voicemail Service
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
When the Attendant accesses a specific greeting/prompt number, any existing recording
stored for that number is played.
To record or delete a message at Attendant station, all VMIB ports MUST be idle.
When a call is transferred to the Attendant, a "Transfer to Attendant" prompt is played for
the caller followed by a tone.
If there is no recorded greeting or prompt, an pre-programmed tone is sounded instead.
While a maximum of eight hundred user messages can be stored in the VMIB, only one
hundred messages can be used for system greetings and prompts.
If system memory fills up while a greeting/prompt is being recorded, only the segment of
the greeting/prompt recorded prior to the depletion of memory is saved.
Different system greetings can be recorded for different system groups.
Recorded system greetings and prompts are saved at all VMIBs within the system.
The system supports system prompts (072-100).
