Appendix C: Voicemail Service
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
• When the Attendant accesses a specific greeting/prompt number, any existing recording
stored for that number is played.
• To record or delete a message at Attendant station, all VMIB ports MUST be idle.
• When a call is transferred to the Attendant, a "Transfer to Attendant" prompt is played for
the caller followed by a tone.
• If there is no recorded greeting or prompt, an pre-programmed tone is sounded instead.
• While a maximum of eight hundred user messages can be stored in the VMIB, only one
hundred messages can be used for system greetings and prompts.
• If system memory fills up while a greeting/prompt is being recorded, only the segment of
the greeting/prompt recorded prior to the depletion of memory is saved.
• Different system greetings can be recorded for different system groups.
• Recorded system greetings and prompts are saved at all VMIBs within the system.
• The system supports system prompts (072-100).
