VOIP Networking
Two SBX IP 320 Systems can be connected through the VOIB. The networking CO line
connects the networking systems, and is used for both the network signaling message and
voice path.
CONDITIONS
• To use the networking CO line, the service type must be set to DID/MSN (see Admin
Programming).
• To receive the net call digit information correctly, the appropriate DID conversion type
must be set.
• Information for up to four VOIP CPNs can be entered. The reason for multiple VOIP CPNs
is to assign a different IP address for each VOIB (that is when the destination networking
system utilizes multiple VOIBs).
• The networking feature must be enabled on each system (see Admin Programming
below). However, if the networking lock-button is not installed, this feature cannot be
enabled.
• To satisfy the UDP condition, the Flexible Station Numbering Plan must be programmed
on each system. The station number ranges are 100 to 199 for System A, and 200 to 299
for System B (see Admin Programming).
IMPORTANT: Any changes to station numbers must not conflict with the flexible numbering plan
code on each system. For example, if System A uses 2 as its Pick-Up code in its
flexible numbering plan, then station numbers in that system cannot begin with the
digit 2.
Transit-Out Security -- if transit-out security option is
set, the system searches for registered IP in the Net
Number tables.
If received IP does not match any registered IP in
the Net Number Table, this call will be disconnected.
