Software Upgrade
The SBX IP MBU software can be upgraded via PC using the SBX IP upgrade program. Using
the SBX IP upgrade program requires that the PC and SBX IP system be connected through a
Serial, LAN, or MODEM interface. Once connected, the software upgrade file is sent from the
computer to the system and the MBU software is automatically upgraded.
IMPORTANT: Refer to the SBX IP Installation Guide for more information about connecting the
SBX IP to a computer.
LAN Connection
The MBU software can be upgraded through a LAN interface using the ipLDK upgrade program
stored within a remote computer.
CONDITIONS
• If the connection is lost during the upgrading process, the number can be redialed. If the
line was safely disconnected, it will be connected immediately.
• While in the upgrading process, none of the features within the system are available.
• If the MBU software upgrade is interrupted (stops) without being completed, retry the
upgrade from the beginning.
• Valid ROM files must be used or the MBU software upgrade cannot be performed: the
process will not even initiate.
