OPERATION / SETUP
To activate a Hot Line at a station where a Hot Line is assigned:
Lift the handset at a station to activate the feature.
To activate a Warm Line at a station where a Warm Line is assigned:
Lift the handset at a station.
The assigned Warm Line feature is activated if no dialing has been done while the
Warm Line Timer is running.
Least Cost Routing (LCR)
When an outgoing CO call is made, the LCR feature automatically selects the least expensive
method (route/carrier) to make the call. This eliminates the need for a user to know and enter
the access code of the least expensive carrier.
CONDITIONS
• When a user selects a CO Line and dials a destination number, the system checks the
LCR programming and sends the call according to the least cost route according to the
ADMIN program.
• There are three ways to activate LCR:
- Internal LCR - If the dialed digits match an internal LCR code (contained in the LCR
table), the system secures a CO Line from the programmed CO Group, then sends
the modified digits according to LCR programming.
- Loop LCR - When dialing the first accessible CO Group Code (9 or 0), or when
pressing the Loop button, then entering digits that match a COL LCR code, the
system seizes the CO line from the designated CO group. At that point, the dialed
digits the digits are converted by according to the LCR Table, and are sent.
- Direct CO LCR - After dialing a CO Line or CO group code (9 or 0, depending on the
country from which you are calling), or after pressing a CO Line or CO group button,
LCR can be activated. If the dialed digits match a COL LCR code, the system seizes
the CO line from the designated CO group. At that point, the dialed digits the digits are
converted by according to the LCR Table, and are sent.
• There are 6 LCR modes.
• LCR Access Mode 00 (M00) disables LCR calls.
• Leading digits can be duplicated, since FLEX 2 and the DMT index make each entry
unique.
• The Leading Digit table is sorted by leading digits if FLEX 2 is set to LDT (INT, COL,
BOTH), and DMT index is selected.
