Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
CO Step Call - SLT Phones Only
The feature allows a station with a COS (Class of Service) that restricts dialing to be able to dial
Emergency numbers that are programmed into the Emergency Service Call Table. Without the
table entries, the station cannot make Emergency calls. .
OPERATION / SETUP
To use CO Step Call when trying to access a busy CO line:
Press [SPEED], then enter the last digit of the previously called number.
The previous call is terminated and a new call is established.
Emergency Call Service
An Emergency Service Code can be used regardless of lower station COS.
CONDITIONS
• An emergency call can be dialed by pressing an available CO Line at the station that is
assigned to COS 7.
• If the dialed number for the Emergency Service Code is the same as a station number or
LCR Table number (see 1-153), the call is still processed as an Emergency Call. The
priority of the dialed number sent to external CO Line is: Emergency Call Code, then LCR
Table, then Station Number.
