Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
IP Phone Reroute Service
SBX IP provides rerouting when IP phones (IP hard-phone and Nomad SP) are not available
for any reason (such as the line being disconnected). When this occurs, the call is re-routed to
voice mail or to a mobile extension.
CONDITIONS
• This feature is only available for IP phones.
• A Hunt group cannot be used as a re-routed destination.
ADMIN PROGRAMMING
Set Auto Forward to VMIB
Use PGM 113, then FLEX 2 and FLEX 14 … see page C-11 and page C-15.
Set the Forward to VMIB Timer
Use PGM 181, then FLEX 20 … see page C-15.
Reroute to a Mobile Extension
Use PGM 236 … see page 1-238.
ISDN Service
• The SBX IP system does not support BRI (Basic Rate Interface). Instead, the BRI
provides two bearer channels and one data channel (2B+D); but Calling Line ID
functionality, the same admin fields are used for ISDN.
• Calling Number and Called Number functions are supported. Calling Number services will
be routed in the same way as Automatic Number Identification (ANI) calls using the DID
route table.
• The rules and conditions of ANI are the same, and still apply to Calling Number service on
ISDN lines.
• Called Number services will be routed using the DID route table.
• The rules and conditions of DID apply to ISDN Called Number service on ISDN lines.
- The Bearer channels (B channels) transport voice information to and from the Central
Office.
- The Data channel (D channel) controls all signaling information for the bearer
channels.
