Conference Calls 1-91
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
CONDITIONS
DID/DISA and transferred CO calls can join a conference room. However, in the case of
an analog line, a valid loop timer must be set (see ADMIN PROGRAMMING for this
feature) before DISA and transferred CO calls on that line can join a conference room.
This feature terminates when the deactivation code is dialed or the "Forced Delete PGM"
code is used by the Attendant.
The maximum number of conference rooms is 9. Each conference room can have a
maximum of 15 members.
A password option can be assigned and set.
A password is not required when deleting a conference room.
For CO line participants, only an ISDN line can enter a conference room. A caller using a
Loop Start T1 trunk will not be permitted to enter a conference room.
If the System Attendant station has a conference room button, its LED can be used to
check the status of conference room. If the LED is:
- ON (steady) - The conference room is activated, but no members have joined.
- OFF - The conference room is deactivated.
- Flashing at 60 ipm - 1 to 3 participants are currently in the room.
- Flashing 120 ipm - 4 to 6 participants are currently in the room.
- Flashing 240 ipm - 7 or more participants are currently in the room.
NOTE: If the Attendant Station does not have such a button, see “To check Conference
Room status from an Attendant Station” on page 1-90.
