Call Handling 1-86
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
CONDITIONS
• The busy station hears a warning tone over the current voice path indicating another
station is camped-on.
• Placing a station in DND disables the Voice Over function. However, an Attendant can
make a Voice Over at the station in DND mode.
• During the Voice Over, the [HOLD/SAVE] LED flashes at 60 ipm at the busy station.
• After voice over is activated, both calls will be dropped if the busy station that receives the
calls hangs up. If either of the callers hangs up, the [HOLD/SAVE] LED extinguishes and
the remaining call will be connected in the normal talking state following the presentation
of a confirmation tone.
• When toggling between the camped-on and distant parties, the holding party will hear
MOH, if available.
• The recall timer is not activated during Voice Over.
• Every time the busy station toggles between the callers, a confirmation tone sounds.
• If the busy station is using the handset, Voice Over will be activated via the handset. If the
busy station is using the speaker, Voice Over will be activated using the speaker.
• Voice Over must be enabled at station in order for it to receive Voice Over
announcements. In addition, Caller Voice Over must be enabled for a station to send a
Voice Over Announcement - see ADMIN PROGRAMMING.
