• Function
Use this button for programming your phone (see “Function
Key Programming” on page 17)
• Dial Pad
Of course, these buttons are used to place phone calls. In
addition, the various numbered keys on the keypad are used
for many of the features and functions available on the DX-
80/120 Cordless phone. These various features and
functions are described throughout this guide.
ADDITIONAL KEYS ON THE HANDSET AND FEATURES
Besides the keys found on the front of the handset, there are keys
located on each side of it.
• Volume Up
and Down
Use these
controls to
turn the
volume up
on the “ear
piece” (i.e.,
allowing you
to control
how loud
you hear the
other person
on the other
end of the
line).
• Headset
You can plug in a compatible headset into the handset to
allow you to use the phone in a “hands-free” mode while still
keeping the conversation private (vs. using the speaker
mode).
• Speaker
Press this button to activate/deactivate the Speaker (hands-
free) mode.
