HANDSET BUTTONS
There are several buttons on the handset. Some of these are located
on the front for basic use and programming; others are located on the
sides. Review this section to familiarize yourself with the various
buttons, their location, as well as their functionality.
BUTTONS ON THE FRONT OF THE HANDSET
The DX-80/120 Cordless handset includes the following buttons.
• F1, F2, and F3 Softkeys
These are keys that can
be programmed/
customized to perform a
variety of functions (see
“Function Key
Programming” on
page 17).
• Talk
This button is used when
placing and receiving
calls (see Sections 3 and
4 of this guide).
• Trans (Transfer)
This key is used to lock
the keys and to transfer
calls (see “Key Lock
Mode Status” on page 12
and “Transferring Calls”
on page 61).
• 6 Programmable -
Flexible Feature
Buttons
You can set these buttons to perform a variety of features
such as DND and Call Forward (see “Programming Buttons
& Codes” on page 32).
• Hold
This button is used to put a call on hold (see “Placing Calls
on Hold” on page 59). It is also used when programming the
phone, and placing conference calls (see “Creating
Conference Calls” on page 51).
