PICKING UP CALLS IN YOUR GROUP
You may answer calls ringing at another extension using the Call Pick
Up Group feature.
When you hear another extension in your pickup
group ringing:
Press to answer the call.
OR
When you hear an extension in another pickup
group ringing:
Dial that Pick Up Group number to answer the ringing call.
SCREENING/MONITORING INCOMING CALLS
(ANSWERING MACHINE EMULATION)
This feature mimics the call-screening feature of an answering
machine. When your voice mailbox answers a call, you can screen
(“secretly” listen to) the caller leaving the message.
This option is available for only a few seconds after your voice
mailbox has answered the call.
NOTE
Not all systems offer this feature as it requires and
optional voice mail system.
If your System Administrator has not arranged for this
option, your DX system will not be able to provide the
ability to screen calls (i.e., Answering Machine Emulation).
Contact your System Administrator for details.
When your voice mailbox answers a caller:
The system sounds an alert tone, and flashes the feature button
programmed for voice mail (if applicable) at a fast rate.
1) Press the flashing Voice Mail button.
• The button LED will flash at a slower rate, and the following is
displayed:
2) Press yes to monitor call.
• The LED of the voice mail button lights steady.
