Programming DSS DET Feature Keys (continued)
PROGRAMMING DSS DET FEATURE KEYS VIA THE DET
While the extension is idle:
1) Press Feature # 3 to display: PRESS FTR KEY.
2) Press the flexible feature button that you wish to program and display:
F98____
show chg
3) Press chg to display

dir ftr.
NOTE
To program the keys, you must know the code type(s) you want to use. The codes will either
be a directory number or a feature code. In general, directory numbers are resources that are
designated dialing codes in the system such as extensions and page zones.
Feature codes being those features that an extension might invoke. If you are unsure what
type of code is to be programmed review
“Appendix C - Feature Directory and Code Lists” on
page 471.
To program a directory number press dir.
DIR NUMBER:_
bksp save chg
4) Enter the a appropriate directory number.
5) Press save.
• If you inadvertently enter the wrong number, use bksp, then chg, then re-enter the number.
To program a feature code press ftr.
FTR CODE:_
bksp save chg
6) Enter the feature code (e.g., Feature 6 # for CID Table Review - see 472).
7) Press save.
• Continue programming other feature keys.
When all feature keys are programmed, as needed.
8) Lift/replace handset to exit this programming.
