3) Click on the feature key you want to program to highlight it.
• The corresponding Key No. will be displayed to in the lower right portion of the screen, together with any
definition currently assigned to the key.
4) Select the key type you want to assign to this feature key (e.g, a dialing key, function key, or neither - see
the information below for more information about setting each of these key types).
Setting this Key as a Dialing Key (default):
NOTE
When/if you choose “Func Key” the Func Access field will be come available, and the Dial Key fields
will be come unavailable. Similarly, if/when you choose “None”, both the Dial and Func Key fields will
become unavailable. If the Dial Key fields are unavailable, click on the Dial Key option to make them
active.
5) Click on the Dial Key (default) option (if it is not already selected.
In the DIR Type field:
6) Select the type of directory you want to apply to the currently highlighted key from the DIR Type field.
• The choices are blank, CO Group, Operator, Extension, Page Group, Hunt Group, Pickup, Indiv SPD.,
System SPD., CO Line, BGM, External Pager, Loud Bell, Vir. Number, Account, and MMC.
• The default is “extension”.
• To disable the key operation, select the blank space.
In the DIR No field:
7) Select a directory number for this key from the DIR No.
HINT
The choices available for DIR No. will vary depending upon the selection you made
under DIR Type.
