Programming DSS Console Feature Keys via PC-DBA (continued)
3) Click on the feature key you want to program to highlight it.
• The corresponding Key No. will be displayed to the left of the entry line at the bottom of the screen,
together with any definition currently assigned to the key.
In the DIR Type field:
4) Select the type of directory you want to apply to the currently highlighted key from the DIR Type field.
• The choices are blank, CO Group, Operator, Extension, Page Group, Hunt Group, Pickup, Indiv SPD.,
System SPD., CO Line, BGM, External Pager, Loud Bell, Vir. Number, Account, and MMC.
• The default is “extension”.
• To disable the key operation, select the blank space.
In the DIR No field:
5) Select a directory number for this key from the DIR No.
HINT
The choices available for DIR No. will vary depending upon the selection you made
under DIR Type.
6) Click to move your settings to the corresponding location in the scrolling table.
7) Click the Update button to store the settings into the database on the local disk.
• Use the steps above to assign other directory number keys as needed for this DSS unit. In addition, you
can program features keys for other DSS Units by selecting another unit number (see step 2), then
follow the steps for making the settings as shown above.
When you are finished:
8) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
When you have finished all programming changes:
9) Perform a SEND to copy the database changes to the DX-120 switch system memory.
