Programming UCDs via the DET (continued)
Setting the Attribute for a UCD group:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 on page 349):
4) Enter 06-01-XX-02 (where XX represents the UCD group: 01~24).
5) Press save to display the currently set attribute for the specified UCD group.
6) Press chg until you see the appropriate select UCD or VA.
• Use the VA option if you are using extensions on a RAD for overflow destinations.
NOTE
If you expect the traffic on a third-party RAD device to be high, program analog ports
of type VA into an available UCD group, and then set that UCD group Attribute field
to VA.
7) Press next to display the UCD Name screen (now go to step 6 in “Setting the Name for a UCD group:”
below).

If you want to set attributes for other UCD groups, press the volume Up button to
return to the DB Item Selection screen, and repeat the steps in this section.
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
Setting the Name for a UCD group:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 on page 349):
4) Enter 06-01-XX-03 (where XX represents the UCD group: 01~24).
5) Press save to display the Name screen for the specified UCD group.
• The default is NULL.
6) Press chg.
7) Use the keypad (using the alphanumeric table for reference) to enter a name for the specified UCD group.

8) Press save to store the new name.
9) Press next to display the UCD Member screen (now go to step 6 in “Setting the Members for a UCD
Group:” below).
