Setting the Account Code Length and Password via PC-DBA (continued)
2) Click the line of the scroll list for which you wish to make a password entry.
• The number in the No field of the entry line at the bottom of the screen should now match the No field
for the selected line of the table.
3) Specify the length of the passwords to be assigned.
• The default is 3.
• When you specify the length of the password, the system changes the number of digits in the Password
field accordingly.
CAUTION
Changing the account code length will delete all previously programmed
account codes.
4) Enter the password you want to assign.
• The default is blank (no password).
• Valid passwords are numbers from 0 to 9, containing as many digits as you specified in the Length field.
5) Click the down arrow to the right of th.e COS field to assign this password a class of service (0 through 7).
• The default is 0.
• When an extension user enters this password, the system auto¦matically assigns the class of service
you specify here to that call. The system follows all of the restrictions associated with that class of
service.
6) Click the box next to Disable to enable or disable this password.
IMPORTANT!
By default, this box is blank, meaning that the password is enabled (i. e., NOT
disabled). You must click the Disable box so it displays a check mark if you DO NOT
want to use the password.
Once the entries are completed:
7) Click below the center of the table to move your selections from the entry line to the table line number
you selected in Step 2.
HINT
Assign additional passwords and their classes of service by repeating the steps
above. You can assign up to 600 passwords in this way.
Once all passwords are entered:
8) Click the Update button to enter all of your password settings into the database on your local disk.
9) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
