Programming Automated Attendant via the DET (continued)
Programming the Waiting Code:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 on page 303):
4) Enter 03-46-05.
5) Press save to display the Waiting Code screen.
6) Press chg.
7) Enter the new Waiting Code digit (see IMPORTANT! note on page 311).
• The waiting code gives callers the option to wait for a busy extension and try that extension again after
10 seconds.
• The code may be any dial pad single-digit from 0-9, *, or #.
• The default is #.
8) Press save to store the setting.
9) Press next to display the Inquiry Code field (now go to step 6 in “Programming the Inquiry Code:” below).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
Programming the Inquiry Code:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 on page 303):
4) Enter 03-46-06.
5) Press save to display the Inquiry Code screen.
6) Press chg.
7) Enter the new Inquiry Code digit (see IMPORTANT! note on page 311).
• Use the inquiry code to provide callers the option to hear a general announcement (company hours,
directions to the office, etc.).
• The code may be any dial pad single-digit from 0-9, *, or #.
• The default is *.
8) Press save to store the setting.
9) Press next to display the DISA Code screen (now go to step 6 in “Programming the DISA Code:” below).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
