Programming Automated Attendant via the DET (continued)
Setting Ring Time to Answer:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 above):
4) Enter 03-46-01.
5) Press save to display first Auto Attendant screen: Ring Time To Answer.
6) Press chg.
7) Enter the number of seconds that a caller will hear ring-back before the line is answered by the auto
attendant.
• Valid options are from 0 to 20 seconds, in increments of 1 second.
• The default is 0.
8) Press save to store the setting.
9) Press next to display the Ring No Answer screen (now go to step 6 in “Setting Ring Time No Answer:”
below).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
Setting Ring Time No Answer:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 on page 303):
4) Enter 03-46-02.
5) Press save to display the Ring Time No Answer screen.
6) Press chg until you see the length of time that a call rings the auto attendant (with no answer) before the
system routes it to the designated Answer Position (i.e., if all auto attendant ports are in use and
unavailable to handle the call).
• Valid times are 10-90 seconds, in 10 second increments.
• The default is 20 seconds.
7) Press save to store the setting.
8) Press next to display the Drop No Extension # Dialed screen (now go to step 6 in “Setting the Drop No
Extension # Dialed option:” below).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
