Programming Caller ID Codes and Local Calling Areas via the DET (continued)
Setting Local Area Codes:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 above):
4) Enter 03-29-01 (for Local Area Code 1).
• To program other local area codes, see NOTE below.
NOTE
To program other local area codes:
• Enter 03-29-03 (for Local Area Code 2).
• Enter 03-29-05 (for Local Area Code 3).
• Enter 03-29-07 (for Local Area Code 4).
• Enter 03-29-09 (for Local Area Code 5).
• Enter 03-29-11 (for Local Area Code 6).
• Enter 03-29-13 (for Local Area Code 7).
• Enter 03-29-15 (for Local Area Code 8).
Once you have entered the correct code as shown above, go to step 5.
5) Press show to display the corresponding area code table (i.e., 1 or 2).
6) Press chg.
7) Enter the actual local area code that will be received with CID from the local calling area for the
customer’s site.
• The range is from 0 to 999.
• The default is NULL (none).
8) Press save to store the number.
9) Press next to display the area prefix (now go to step 6 in “Setting Local Area Prefixes:” below).
OR
Press next twice to display the next area code.
• Repeat the steps shown in this section for each area code (and/or prefix) you want to program -
up to 8).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
• If you choose to use this method, you can use the individual codes to program the area codes as shown
in the NOTE under step 4 on the previous page.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
