Setting Up Dial Wait Time and Dial Delay (continued)
SETTING UP DIAL WAIT TIME AND DIAL DELAY VIA THE DET
NOTE
• chg, bksp, save, one, always, del, and ack are interactive LCD button operations.
Use the three buttons below the LCD display to activate the associated operation.
• You can press Hold at any time to return to the previous level or press the volume
buttons to return to the main DB selection screen.
1) Enter Database Administration (see page 26) using the feature code Feature # * to display the password
prompt.
2) Enter the DB Admin password (see page 27).
3) Press show to display the DB Item Select screen.
Programming the Dial Wait Time:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 above):
4) Enter 03-16.
5) Press save to advance to Dial Wait Time programming.
6) Press chg to select to specify how long you want the system to wait before outputting DTMF tones.
• Valid choices are 0 - 8 seconds.
• The default is 0 seconds.
7) Press next to display the Dial Delay screen (now to go step 6 in the next section).
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
Programming Dial Delay:
From the DB Item Select screen (see steps 1 through 3 above):
4) Enter 03-17.
5) Press save to advance to Dial Delay programming.
6) Press chg until you see the length of time you want the system to wait before it sounds dial tone to the
extension user.
• Valid choices are 100, 300, 1000, 1500, and 2000 milliseconds.
• The default is 100 milliseconds.
7) Press the Hold button to return to the previous menu level.
OR
Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
