PROGRAMMING EXTENSIONS FOR ALTERNATE LINE IDS VIA THE DET
FOR SYSTEMS WITH ISDN (T1/PRI) INSTALLATION ONLY
IMPORTANT!
Be sure you have already set up the alternate line IDs for the extension(s) you want
to program (see
179).
NOTE
chg, bksp, save, one, always, del, and ack are interactive LCD button operations.
Use the three buttons below the LCD display to activate the associated operation.
You can press Hold at any time to return to the previous level or press the volume
buttons to return to the main DB selection screen.
You can also use steps from “Programming for a ISDN (T1/PRI) Card via the DET”
on page 167, to access the Translation Table.
1) Enter Database Administration (see page 26) using the feature code Feature # * to display the password
prompt.
2) Enter the DB Admin password (see page 27).
3) Press show to display the DB Item Select screen.
4) Enter 01-XXX-33 (where XXX represents the extension number you want to program: 101~204).
5) Press chg.
6) Enter the corresponding row number (001~100 for the alternate line ID made in the Alternate Line ID field
of the Alternate Line ID table (see page
177 for information about setting up the Alternate Line ID table).
EXAMPLE
If the Site Number for a company is 555-8000, so when you called out (regardless of
the extension) the party you were calling would see that site number (i.e., 555-8000).
However, if you use the Alternate Line ID you can enter it so that the specific calling
extension number (e.g., if you are calling from extension 3514) is shown to the called
party (e.g., 555-3514).
7) Press save to store the setting.
