Programming Extensions for Alternative Line IDs via PC-DBA (continued)
In the Alternate Line ID field:
3) Enter the corresponding row number for the alternate line ID made in the Alternate Line ID field of the
Alternate Line ID table (see page
177 for information about setting up the Alternate Line ID table).
EXAMPLE
If the Site Number for a company is 555-8000, so when you called out (regardless of
the extension) the party you were calling would see that site number (i.e., 555-8000).
However, if you use the Alternate Line ID you can enter it so that the specific calling
extension number (e.g., if you are calling from extension 3514) is shown to the called
party (e.g., 555-3514).
When you are finished:
4) Click the Update button to store the settings into the database on the local disk.
5) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
When you have finished all programming changes:
6) Perform a SEND to copy your new database to the DX-120 switch system memory.
