2) Click on the appropriate line that corresponds to the index number for which you want to define an
alternate line ID.
HINT
• The index number is used when specifying an Alternate Line ID for a specific
extension.
• Once you click on an index number, the associated fields will appear at the bottom
of the screen. This allows you to enter (or change existing) information for the
corresponding Index number.
3) Enter the alternate line ID information in the remaining fields as described below:
4) Click to move the entry up into the corresponding row of the table.
• Use the process as described above for each extension to which you want to assign an ALI.
When you are finished setting up all the alternate line IDs in the table:
5) Click the Update button to store the settings into the database on the local disk.
6) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
When you have finished all programming changes:
7) Perform a SEND to copy the database changes to the DX-120 switch system memory.

You can now program the ALI for the extensions, as needed (see page 182).

Number Enter the Number (e.g., 555-3514) to be sent to the
Digital Trunk as Calling / Answering Party Number for
the extension when Alternate Line ID Index is pro

grammed at the extension.
• Twelve digits (0~9) can be programmed.
Complete Select “Y” (Yes) if you want only the Number defined
in this entry to be sent to the Digital Trunk as the Call-
ing / Answering Party Number.
OR
Select "N" (No), if you want the "Prefix" (as defined
for the C.O. Application for ISDN) to be added to the
beginning of the number (in this row) to be sent as
the calling/answering party.
• In other words, this setting will cause the entire
number, including the prefix to be sent to the to the
Digital Trunk as the calling/answering party number.
• Default is set to “N” for all entries.
