Assigning Ring Type via PC-DBA (continued)
3) Select the ring type you want to use from the CO Ring Type field.
• Valid entries are 0 though 8.
• If you set this field to 0, there is no ring assigned to the CO line so the system uses the extension’s ring
type.
• If you set this field to 1 through 8, the CO ring type you assign overrides the extension’s ring type.
• The default for the CO Ring Type field is 0 (off).
4) Click the Update button to enter your settings into the database on your local disk.
• Program other ring types as needed using the steps above.
When all assignments have been made:
5) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
Once all database changes have been completed:
6) Perform a SEND to copy the database changes to the DX-120 switch system memory.
ASSIGNING RING TYPE VIA THE DET
NOTE
• chg, bksp, save, one, always, del, and ack are interactive LCD button operations.
Use the three buttons below the LCD display to activate the associated operation.
• You can press Hold at any time to return to the previous level or press the volume
buttons to return to the main DB selection screen.
1) Enter Database Administration (see page 26) using the feature code Feature # * to display the password
prompt.
2) Enter the DB Admin password (see page 27).
3) Enter 02-XXX-11 (where XXX is the CO line directory number: 800-839).
4) Press chg until the appropriate ring type displays.
5) Continue making other programming changes.

Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
